My name is Theresa, creator of Self-Care Routine Cards. I'm a mother, grandmother, girlfriend, and I have a marketing career that I love. While all these roles keep me busy, in my spare time, I am a self-professed self-care junkie, always on the lookout for healthy habits and ways to become the best possible version of myself.
I created this system because I had so many steps to my morning routine, it became a challenge to not only remember them, but in what order I wanted to perform each one. My evening routine was less hectic, but still included a great many steps. If someone I follow on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram that had a new anti-aging product or device, l would have to try it out (as one does when you're a skin care junkie like myself). I knew there had to be a way to manage all my products, devices, anti-aging methods, healthy habits, and self-care routines throughout my day. I tried daily planners but found them time consuming and not at all helpful. I knew there had to be a better way....a way that was customizable to MY products, and MY devices, and MY habits. Thus, the idea of Self-Care Routine Cards was born.
The cards had to be pretty because you'll be seeing them many times throughout the day, so I spent a great deal of time curating dozens of beautiful images that might appeal to a wide variety of people. They had to be sold as a customizable, editable download because we are all unique and use different products in our routines. With hundreds of thousands of products on the market, it wasn't possible to create a card with each product name. While the website offers hundreds of suggestions for your cards, they are purposely generic. If you have a holy grail favorite product, you can easily create a card with that product's name. You can also print multiple cards. For instance, if you have a desire to drink 8 glasses of water each day, create 8 cards and insert them in your deck as a gentle nudge to drink that water.
I keep my cards at various "routine card" stations throughout my home: next to my bed, on my vanity, in the bathroom, and in my wellness room where I do my daily workouts. They provide constant visuals guides as to what I need to next in my routine, without those tasks being buried in a habit tracker, daily planner or an app.
